Our Champions Party

On Saturday we had a party at the Midland Dachshund Club show.
Charpurdy Just Iss and Findowrie Skye Lord were celebrating their new Champion titles, and decided that they would like to share the occassion. What a lovely day it was, lots of wine, food, and two beautiful Champion cakes, almost too good to eat, but best of all, two lovely dogs who thoroughly enjoyed their day.

Findowrie Rings N Roses

Just to bring you up to date with how little Alice is doing.
Last week we went to South Wales show at Builth Wells, it was her last show as a puppy, and I was delighted when she won her class. We went to Lancashire and Cheshire Dachshund today, and Alice had moved up from the puppy class to the junior class with the 12 - 18 month old girls, quite a big step, and there were 12 other older bitches in the class. I was again delighted when Alice showed her socks off and was placed 1st, and the judge told me afterwards that she had seriously considered her for the Reserve CC, she just lost out on maturity. I'm really thrilled with her success as she is the first show dog by my new home bred Champion Findowrie Skye Lord and my homebred girl Findowrie Wine N Roses, so is therfore truly "home made" in the very nicest way.
The boys also did well at both shows and I'm really pleased with them as they've also moved up a class.
Well done Alice, Duffy and Drew I'm so proud of you all Xxx

Champion Findowrie Skye Lord

Wow, he did it!!
My lovely boy Lewis gained his crown at The Houndshow yesterday. What a fantastic day we had.
Special thanks to the judge, Mrs Susan Roberts, to Viviene Croxford and Rosemary Sheldon of the Arbroath kennel who very kindly and generously gave me Lewis's Mum (Tyree) as a present, and for all the fellow exhibitors for their good wishes.
A big thank you must also go to my lovely boy for being such a wonderful showdog, friend and companion, I love him to bits.

Windsor Champion Show

We have been to Windsor Show today and had a really fantastic day.

Findowrie Rings N Roses (Alice) won 1st in Minor Puppy Bitch and was Best Bitch Puppy She is by my Findowrie Skye Lord, and her mum is my lovely black and tan girl Findowrie Wine N Roses, so she is a truly home grown girl.
Findowrie Mr. McDuff (Duffy) was 2nd in Junior Dog, despite having the screaming hab dabs when we arrived, after having a falling out with Drew.
Findowrie City Slicker (Drew) left his coat at home, but still managed a respectable 4th in Limit dog
and my gorgeous boy Findowrie Skye Lord (Lewis) won 2nd in Open Dog.
I was really pleased with all of them,I just need that final ticket still to make Lewis a champion, I hope he gets it as he is such a lovely lad.
Thanks kids for taking me with you. xx

Hi Everybody,
It's a long time since I gave you any news on the dogs, but I thought I would just let you all know how well they did at Crufts on Saturday.
Findowrie Mr. McDuff (Duffy) my 11 month old puppy was placed 2nd in Special Puppy Dog
Findowrie City Slicker (Drew) was placed 4th in a large Limit Dog class
Findowrie Skye Lord (Lewis) was pulled out in the final eight in the Open Dog class, in front of some champions. He is waiting for his 3rd CC which will make him up into a champion. Findowries Creme Caramelle (Raine) my pretty little cream girl was unplaced, but she didn't let it worry her!!
I have another lovely red dog waiting in the wings, Findowrie Sun Lord, who is just five months old, and looking really nice. He is a Skye Lord son and his mother is Emily, my lovely Wine N Roses, black and tan girl. His sister Findowrie Rings N Roses is also staying at home with us as she is also looking very promising.
Mr McDuff has been a very busy boy and has three litters of puppies due soon, can't wait to see them. He is a PRA clear by Willowheath ZZ Top and as an outcross line will eventually be mated back to the Findowrie girls.
