It has been a very sad day at Findowrie as we said goodbye to our lovely shaded cream girl Katy Jane.At 14 1/2 she had lived a very full and happy life,and after a good career in the show ring she spent her latter years with my daughter and grandaughter as a much loved family pet.
Rest in Peace dear Kate.

South Wales/Lancashire and Cheshire
What a lovely weekend I've had with my two boys.
Yesterday we went to South Wales Championship Show at Builth Wells where Jeff Horswell was judging.He gave Findowrie Skye Lord second in a good open class and my young boy, Findowrie City Slicker,(who is only just out of junior), first in Post Graduate Dog and the Reserve Dog CC.
Today we went to Lancashire and Cheshire Dachshund Association show in St.Helens and Mike Turner (Rafthouse) was judging. I had very stupidly entered City Slicker in the Junior Dog class, and had to transfer him to Open Dog. Luckily my friend Dawn Norton stepped in and handled him for me as I had also got Skye Lord in that class. I was delighted when Skye Lord was placed first, with Reserve CC and City Slicker was placed second.
Brilliant, two Reserve CC's with two different home bred dogs in two days - can't be bad!!

The Welsh Championship Show
We had a wonderful day in Builth Wells today.I was so proud when my young junior dog Drew was awarded the Reserve Dog CC, it was completely unexpected, and therefore all the sweeter.He is only seventeen months old, but has been doing consistently well at his shows, and has been awarded many first placings. He is a Man About Town son, and has his fathers cavalier attitude, with personality plus!!
Anyway, here are the full results.

East of England
What a fantastic day we had at the East of England Championship Show in Peterborough yesterday. I think I floated home as all my dogs did so well.
Findowrie Skye Lord (Lewis) 1st Open Dog and Dog CC (his second)
Findowrie City Slicker (Drew) 1st Junior Dog
Findowrie Lady Georgia (Georgia) 1st Special Yearling Bitch
Findowrie Wine'NRoses (Emily) 2nd Open Bitch
I was so proud of Lewis getting his second ticket, he has deserved it for such a long time, he's a beautiful boy, and Drew, Georgia and Emily put the icing on the cake when they all did so well.
Thank you kids for such a memorable day. xx

The Show Team
The show team, Drew, Lewis, Emily and Georgia are all getting ready for East of england Show on Friday. I hope we don't get any more rain or we will be swimming there.
Last Friday we all went to Windsor, it was a really hot day, but very enjoyable as Drew got 2nd in Junior Dog, Lewis got 2nd in Open Dog, and Georgia got 4th in Post Graduate bitch. Poor Emily was the only one who was unplaced, she was very sad, but she's only just moved up to the Open Bitch class where competition is really hot. Your day will come Emily as you've already had some nice wins.
