Findowries Inheritance

We have had a sad day today as Findowries Inheritance (Abbie) made her final trip to the vets. She was over 14 1/2 and her years had suddenly caught up with her . She was the last remaining link I had to her mother Findowries Felicitations (Sophie), and the special friend of my grandaughter Isabel who is heart broken. She has joined her brother Findowries Heritage (Derry) who died earlier in the year. Even when you have so many you still miss the one that's gone.
Run free Abbie Dabbie Doo til we meet again. xxxx

Thursday 21 October 2010

I had the most exciting news yesterday. I have passed all the Kennel Club criteria and I am now on the A2 list, which means that if I am invited to judge at a championship show then the Kennel Club will approve it. So, maybe in two or three years time I will be giving out CC's.

Saturday 9 October 2010

I hadn't realised how long it had been since I last wrote in the news.
The boys, Findowrie City Slicker and Findowrie Skye Lord have been consistently placed all through the year, City Slicker has won two firsts in Limit Dog at his last two shows.
Yesterday at South Wales my new shaded cream girl Findowries Creme Caramelle won 1st in Minor Puppy Bitch and Best Bitch Puppy, let's hope that this is a good omen and she carries on winning.
Little Findowrie Wine and Roses produced a lovely litter of three puppies on Thursday morning, one bitch two dogs, all various shades of red. They are by Skye Lord, so let's hope there will be something nice to show.

Crufts

My boys had a wonderful day at Crufts yesterday.
Findowrie City Slicker (Drew) was 2nd in the Junior Dog class
Findowrie Skye Lord (Lewis) was VHC in the Open Dog class, beating four champions
It was a very tiring day, but we were very pleased with the placings. Well done boys, and thank you for taking me along, I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Dachshund Club of Wales

We have had a wonderful day at the Dachshund Club of Wales Championship Show.

Findowrie City Slicker (Drew) won his first Challenge Certificate, to add to the two Reserves that he already has.

Many thanks to the breed specialist Judge Mr Aubrey Nash for a lovely day.
