Crufts
We had a truly fantastic day at Crufts yesterday, despite the horrendous journey both ways.
Champion Findowrie Skye Lord (Lewis) was 1st in the veteran class. He looked so gorgeous and could still hold his own in the younger classes. I had many nice comments about him, and he certainly carries his age well.We even had some stud enquiries.
His daughters, the lovely shaded red girl Findowries Fascination (Carmen) and the gorgeous Findowrie Rings N Roses (Alice)kept the flag flying for Dad, with third and fourth in very good classes.Their cousin, Mr McDuff's daughter Findowrie Darcia Rose, was third in Puppy, her first visit to Crufts, and she really enjoyed the day. The only one to come home cardless was Findowrie Mr McDuff, dear little man, but he was shortlisted in his class, and came home with a hot date booked for later in the year, so he's not complaining.
I had a brilliant, memorable day. Thank you Findowrie show team for taking me, loves you all xx

Miniature Dachshund Club
We had another good day at the Miniature Dachshund Club show last Sunday
Findowrie Rings N Roses (Little Alice) got another first
Findowrie Darcia Rose was second in her class, pretty good going as she'd moved up a class to junior from puppy to make way for her sister Findowrie Demi Rose who was making her debut. Unfortunately she was the only one not placed, I think she was just too excited by the whole show scene and was boinging off the walls like a coiled spring. She's a lovely little black and tan girl who has been slower to mature than her sister, but she will be out there again when she's settled down.
Findowries Fascination (Carmen) was third in Yearling, and again she was in with much older girls.
Findowrie Mr McDuff was fourth in a really good limit class.
Well done the Findowries, really pleased with you all. What a dreadful journey home though, sleety snow which by the time we hit Shropshire was falling as thick snow. So relieved to get home safely, we just crashed out with a takeawy.....very lazy folk.
Nothing now til Crufts so we can relax for three weeks and have a holiday.

Phoebe
We have had a very sad day at Findowrie as I learned this morning that dear little Phoebe - Findowrie Moonlight N Roses was put to sleep to save her suffering. For the last four years she has lived with her "husband" Guy (Findowrie Society Guy)and Veronica, her second Mum. They have had a lovely life together, and were proud parents of three litters. Their daughter Findowrie Wine N Roses is the mother of Findowrie Rings N Roses and my new show girl Findowrie Darcia Rose. I am so very glad that I visited them last week, and was able to say goodbye to her.
God Bless dear little Phoebe you were such a lovely girl xx

Update
I can't believe that I've not updated you with all the goings on here at Findowrie since last years Crufts.
Firstly we had some new babies, who are now 14 months old. Findowries Flirtation (Laura) and Findowries Fascination (Carmen)both of them are very dark shaded red - my favourite colour. Their mum is my shaded cream girl, Findowrie Creme Caramelle, and Dad is my Champion Findowrie Skye Lord, so where the dark shading came from is anyones guess..... Both of them have only been lightly shown, but have never been unplaced and they have both qualified for Crufts.
My youngest babies are now 7 months old, Findowrie Darcia Rose (Red) and Findowrie Demi Rose (Black and Tan). Their Mum is my Findowrie Wine N Roses (also the mum of Findowrie Rings N Roses (Alice) who is doing so well in the show ring, and Dad is Findowrie Mr Mc Duff. Darcia went to her second show today and was 1st in Minor Puppy Bitch, and was also Best Bitch Puppy. Mr McDuff was 3rd in Post Grad Dog, Laura was 3rd in Junior Bitch and Alice was 4th in Post Grad Bitch. The only one unplaced was my beautiful girl Findowries Creme Caramelle,I thought she looked lovely, and I had several nice comments about her, but that's life. We had a lovely day.
We are also celebrating today because it is Champion Findowrie Society Lords 15th Birthday. My darling Benjamin is the last of the litter, so we have been thinking of Bindy, Billy and Baxter who have already crossed to Rainbow Bridge. They were a lovely litter, very special dogs. Happy Yappy Birthday Benny Boy, glad you liked the sausuages. I thought you'd appreciate them better than a cake - special sausages for a special sauage dog xx
I think that's about all the updates for now, except to say that we are still doing well in the show ring, that I am in regular contact with most of the puppies I have sold, and that some of my friends are now on the next generation of Findowries. Findowrie Wine N Roses is now living with Eileen and Dandy in her retirement home, looking after them both and doing a grand job. She nips back to see me occassionally with her new mum and Findowrie Society Dandy (her companion) but never wants to stay, she is a very happy girl in her new home. x

Crufts 2012
We had a lovely day at Crufts, and all the dogs were well placed, I couldn't have asked for more.
Findowrie Mr McDuff (Duffy) was 3rd in Special yearling, Champion Findowrie Skye Lord,(Lewis) his half brother was short listed to the last 7 in a large Open Dog class, beating many champions, and his daughter, Findowrie Rings N Roses (Alice) was 2nd in Special Junior Bitch on her first visit to Crufts.
There were many lovely comments from the ringside, which made me even prouder of all my Findowries.
Thanks Kids. Xxx

My Champions
On Sunday my boys,Champion Findowrie Skye Lord andChampion Findowrie Society Lord , were in the Parade of Champions at The Miniature Dachshund Club show.
I was so proud of them both, my younger boy Lewis (Skye Lord) is so handsome, he looked absolutely gorgeous going round the big ring, and Benjamin,(SocietyLord), Lewis's Great Grandfather, aged 14 1/4 strutted his stuff like the real trooper that he is. I can't believe he's that old, his coat is still in brilliant condition......but he can't whistle anymore cos he's lost his front teeth!!
I felt really honoured to be able to hold their leads. God bless them both for the joy they've brought me.
Benjamins son Champion Arbroath Mr.McKinnon was also in the parade, and Rosemary was so proud of him I thought she would burst. Several of his grandchildren were also there, so nice to see what he achieved in his limited stud career. It was an unforgettable day.
